When we set out to design our FirstFiddle series violin for children we felt the most important thing was to produce a violin that kids will truly love it. The Passion and love for the instrument will prepare them for a lifetime of music education and appreciation.
As the first instrument for your kid, it must be fun and exciting, how could a kid resist the fun of building blocks? Our FirstFiddle violin is not only fun, it also helps them to learn the instrument through the process of assembling it, building their own violin can also be very creative.
In partnership with Funkidviolin, we are able to provide young musician with lego violin , Lego viola, Lego cello and more. The very first Lego string ensemble under Inner West Youth Orchestra will be performing soon, join us now!
90-minutes workshop is segmented as follow:
- Free play and ice-breaking session
- Introduction to violin, the acoustic instrument
- Build your lego violin
- Decorate your lego violin with legos
- Learn how to hold violin and bow
- Practice and perform your very first open string melody
90-mins group lesson with 6-10 students and 1-3 tutors
At the end of this workshop, we aim to help the kids,
- build his/her lego violin ;
- obtain basic knowledge of this instrument;
- practice holding violin and bow;
- play a very simple melody
